Building a healthcare consulting firm for the future:

After 20 years of experience as a practicing physician and 11 years serving as an academic department chairman and a director of a perioperative service line for a health system, it became obvious to me that our current healthcare system is not substainable without significant changes. Reimbursements are declining, while quality measures and regulatory services are increasing.  As we face these changes in healthcare, we must transform ourselves into a viable team with coordinated efforts between administrators, healthcare staff and physicians.  We must change the silo mentality that lives in today's medical culture and realize that we need to restructure our teams into cooperative partnerships focused on integrated patient-centered care.  It is essential to maintain a patient-physician relationship as the core of our healthcare system for patient satisfaction.   However, busy hospital executives and physicians need guidance to help them work through our dynamically changing healthcare environment.  We must think "out of the box" to achieve a successful future.  There is no magical healthcare plan that we can all use.  Each institution will have to optimize their own resources available to them to survive.  This is a paradigm and a culture shift from our traditional medical practice.  The status quo will no longer achieve the profits needed to fill gaps and grow. Even maintaining routine services for our patients could be jeopardized if we do not change.

At our firm, we will listen to your needs, review your resources, and help you customize your institution efficiently and effectively to prepare you for a productive future.
